About Us

Daytec is the result of several different interests and a couple of business ventures by a guy named Phil Day. It all started back in 1974. It wasn’t until 19 years of building high performance exhaust systems for the boating industry, learning about powder coating and playing around with all types of off road vehicles that “Daytec” came to be. Phil has always had a passion for fancy things with rubber tires and if those things had an engine the interest was even greater. Phil also liked to have lots of equipment and machinery at his disposal and over the course of many years had acquired a collection of equipment ,a powder coating facility and decided to try a new business venture. In January of 1991 JPM Product Finishing Co. was born. It wasn’t until mid 1992 that Phil made a decision to start building motorcycle frames for the Harley Davidson aftermarket motorcycle industry. On 12/20/92 the first Daytec built aftermarket softail frame was completed, powder coated and photographed right here at what is known today as Daytec Center LLC. The “Daytec” name came to be in 1993 and today stands as a registered trademark. Since 1993 Daytec has built over 50,000 motorcycle frames and countless different accessories for those frames. Our customers range from the home enthusiast to the biggest aftermarket manufactures in the industry. Daytec has the reputation for building the highest quality motorcycle frames available to the aftermarket industry world wide. The motorcycle industry has been an exciting and rewarding business venture. Phil looks forward to Daytec’s continued success in the motorcycle industry and new horizons in product design and development.
