View from the inside - Relax...

9-21-11

I have been writing about movement and progress here at Daytec. I don’t want to sound redundant, but there truly is a lot going on here. Everywhere I look, I see some one running around, grinders grinding, welding going on in the bays, and bikes in the garage getting repaired. In the midst of our daily lives, we can easily get caught up in the commotion of life. I know the specifics of our life and work differ vastly. We are a diverse people, even within the motorcycling community. I think this is a great thing. I celebrate the differences in our world, but even more than that, I like to celebrate our similarities. It doesn’t matter if you ride a bike or not, we as people have the desire to have fun, and relax. The problem with relaxing is when we forget to do so. We get so caught up in the mix of work and problems going on around us that we live in a state of crisis. When we are in crisis, we don’t relax. Last night my wife and I got a call asking for help because a family member was in crisis. Something out of their control had fallen into the mix and they didn’t know what to do. Don’t wait till problems come up to wish you could get away. Take time this week, or whenever you read this, to slow down and appreciate your life, not for what it isn’t or what it could be, for what it is and what you have. Be thankful for family and friends. Live that American dream and get things in your life you enjoy, but don’t let that consume you. We have a new product line coming out. It’s called the Outlaw series. This new series may be the means of relaxation you have been looking for… wherever life takes you; I hope you can relax a little. You never know when crisis will hit again. Enjoy life while it is good.
