Winter is coming...
10-5-11
Winter is coming… soon.
Has winter come? This morning I woke up to the sound of wind whistling. The news could only talk about the rain, the flooded drain canals, the traffic and the cold. I don’t know where you live, but here in sunny California, things are a bit cloudy. As the seasons change, I wonder to myself, “have we missed the last of the perfect riding days?” I personally love riding in cold weather, but we all have our limits to what temps we can withstand. The coming of the chill may just be a fluke storm passing through, but it may also signal the start of tinkering season. You know, the time of year where we dream of riding, but find ourselves unable to put on that extra layer, but can’t stay away from the bike. Yes it may just be sitting in the garage, but that doesn’t mean it sits in peace. It is the time of year when we take it apart, polish everything, service the motor, change the color… and the list goes on. This winter, plan on making some changes to your ride that will make your buddies jealous come spring. Bring your worn out parts in for a fresh look. Spend some time with Paul and add those pipes you have been looking at. Or if you are really ambitious, start from the frame up and use one of our frames to completely give yourself something new. You deserve it, and so does your bike. Don’t ignore what you love just because it is cold and windy… give yourself the joy of change.
Be safe, stay warm. I think this is just a passing storm… thanks So Cal for the best riding temps… but the time to plan for winter is now. Don’t wait till it is too late to catch some amazing deals, you’ll be glad you did.
